Dear Thirteen Moons Sisters: I am writing you as we move into the new moon energies to remind you that our next Thirteen Moons session is quickly approaching. When we meet again on Saturday, May 2, at 12:45 p.m. we will continue our work with reclaiming and strengthening the core of our self esteem. This session will now track the warrior girl as her body begins to blossom and transform to that of the maiden. Thankfully, we now have a solid foundation of safety and trust together that has grown over the past several months to support our individual work in this area. Understanding and reframing our original beliefs, attitudes, emotions and experiences with our female body image and sexuality are keys that unlock the door to authentic healing, empowerment and openness for the rest of our lives. I was absolutely amazed and humbled over the years by the amount of clarity, healing and transformation many of the women experienced who attended this and next month's sessions. Please notice and record any dreams you have during the next 10 days, as well as memories of your first menstrual cycle or monumental events such as buying your first bra, or other associated times around your changing body. If you participated in any of the home practice assignments, (it's not too late), please bring any piece that you may have created, such as the medicine stick we worked with that you may have decorated, collage, poem or anything that you were inspired to work on over the month to share with your thirteen moons sisters. For those of you joining us for the first time this month, please simply bring the following and jump right in with our sacred hoop of like hearted women. Items to remember: Please refer to the brochure or web site for a listing of the series summer dates. Don't cross Thirteen Moons off of your calendar to fit in that picnic! We are working and building sequentially toward an inspiring fall quarter which will pull all of the sessions together. Conversely even if you miss a session or two, you will not break the contract your soul made with great spirit to grow and evolve. Remember that pre registration offers you an option to avoid the increase at the door for each session and you can save more money by registering for a half moon package of six sessions. As we are now officially in baseball and street fair season, please leave more time to drive or take public transportation so we can begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. at Yoga now. For more information regarding location and yoga events, please visit www.yoganowchicago.com and www.everydaymedicinewoman.com for other offerings including our annual fall retreat which takes us to the breathtaking Colorado mountains. I am so excited to see each of you on May 2rd as we gather at the Beltane/May day weekend. Your authenticity and willingness to be vulnerable is truly remarkable. I have heard from some of you and the medicine stories that are evolving since we began in January are inspiring and beautiful. With much love, Susan
